As an enthusiastic educator with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Spanish from Virginia Commonwealth University, I am committed to creating a dynamic and engaging learning atmosphere for my students. With over two years of tutoring experience in ESL/ELL and Spanish, I employ interactive methodologies that not only captivate students but also aid in their retention of new concepts. My teaching philosophy emphasizes collaboration and positivity; I believe that fostering teamwork through games and group work can turn challenges into rewarding learning experiences. My motivation for tutoring stems from my passion for language acquisition, exemplified by my initiative to establish an after-school English language program for elementary students in a predominantly Spanish-speaking community. Outside the classroom, I enjoy coaching sports, which enriches my understanding of teamwork and enhances my ability to connect with students. I look forward to continuing my tutoring journey, helping learners discover the joy of new languages and ideas.
