Certified Tutor

I'm currently enrolled in the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I'm majoring in ecological and evolutionary biological sciences, and I have a passion for learning about and interacting with animals and the natural environment! In the future, I'd like to move to Europe and gain my master's degree in forestry or zoology so that I can work more closely with animals and/or plants as a career.

I believe that every student should have the opportunity to work with someone who can optimize their learning experience and help them fully understand academic concepts to the best of their abilities. For my first year of university, I worked as a teaching assistant for college students in a beginner's level biology lab. I also have a few years of experience tutoring my mom's friend's son, who was diagnosed with ADHD, back when he was attending elementary school. When I assist other students, I like to relate concepts to their own interests. From my own experience and observing that of others', I believe this is one of the best ways for students to retain long-term information. I hope to gain more experience working with students coming from all types of backgrounds, and to watch them exceed! I tutor in all subjects for elementary students.
