With over 2 years of tutoring experience and a strong background in classroom instruction, I specialize in elementary reading, writing, and math, as well as supporting English language learners. My teaching philosophy centers on adaptability and student-centered learning, allowing me to tailor lessons to meet individual interests and needs. I thrive on witnessing those "aha" moments when students grasp new concepts, and I am committed to helping them build confidence through differentiated instruction. In addition to teaching, I value self-care, creativity, community, and the pursuit of knowledge. I enjoy a consistent routine that includes exercise, healthy food, adequate sleep, and yoga, as it helps me show up as the best version of myself. I find creative outlets like coloring, painting, making collages, or journaling important for thinking abstractly and expressing myself in different ways. I enjoy connecting with friends, family, and everyone in between—human connection is so important and a big reason why I love teaching! I consider myself a lifelong learner and take pride in being open-minded. I regularly listen to podcasts, watch videos, or read about new topics to gain fresh perspectives. I love learning just as much as I love teaching!
