I'm an enthusiastic educator with over five years of experience teaching high school English and social science. Originally from Chicago, I earned my Bachelor's in Teaching of English from the University of Illinois Chicago and later completed my Master's in English at Tulane University. My teaching philosophy centers on building strong relationships with students and creating a culturally relevant curriculum that resonates with their interests. I specialize in AP English Language and Composition, SAT and ACT prep, and various writing genres, and I am dedicated to helping students express themselves authentically through writing. As a published writer and former facilitator of a Creative Writing Club, I strive to inspire my students to see writing as a powerful form of self-expression. I look forward to fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages academic success and personal growth.
