Helping students grow into confident thinkers and communicators is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work. I'm passionate about supporting learners because I believe education can empower individuals and transform communities. Over the past three years, I've worked closely with undergraduate students as a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant, guiding them through writing assignments, sociological concepts, and data-driven research projects.

I earned a Master's degree in Gerontology and another in Library and Information Science, and I'm currently completing a Ph.D. in Sociology. My academic background allows me to tutor a range of subjects, including writing, research methods, sociology, and social science topics. I especially enjoy tutoring writing and sociology because they encourage critical thinking, creativity, and engagement with real-world issues.

My teaching philosophy centers on creating a respectful, inclusive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. I adapt my tutoring style to each student's needs, offering structure when needed and space for independent thinking when appropriate. Outside of academia, I enjoy reading, learning about cultures, and reflecting on ways research can influence policy and everyday life.
