As an enthusiastic tutor with a Bachelor's degree in Italian from the University of Iowa, I have over two years of experience teaching both Italian and English as a second language. My passion for language learning stems from my own journey of learning Italian firstly through immersion as an exchange student, and then acquiring my passion for the language and culture throughout my time at University. I believe in creating a supportive and patient learning environment that allows students to feel brave and confident in their efforts to learn. My approach uses interactive methods, such as music, literature, and real-life conversations to enhance comprehension and fluency. I am dedicated to tailoring lessons to address individual student needs, ensuring they build confidence while mastering the language. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy translating literary works and exploring Italian cinema, which further enriches my teaching.
