As a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor's Degree in Geology and a minor in Physics, I am passionate about education and empowering students to become lifelong learners. My journey in tutoring began with developing a program for K-12 students, where I recognized the profound impact of quality education over mere funding. With over two years of experience as a substitute teacher in Edmond Public Schools and a year as a graduate teaching assistant, I was honored by the students at UTEP to be named the outstanding new instructor in the Geology Department for '97-'98.

My teaching philosophy centers on connecting academic subjects, particularly Earth Science, Physics, and U.S. Government, to students' lives, fostering a genuine interest in learning. I believe that tailored, one-on-one instruction is vital, as it allows me to adapt my teaching methods to meet individual learning styles. My goal is to inspire students to see the relevance of their education in all subject matters, igniting a passion for knowledge that lasts beyond the classroom.
