As a dedicated RN with 25 years of experience, including 21 years in the med/surg specialty, I've transitioned into a leadership role to drive improvements in patient care and staff support. My educational journey culminated in a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Leadership and Learning, complemented by a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, which enhances my ability to mentor nursing students across various educational levelsfrom Associates to Doctoral candidates. With over two years of tutoring experience, I embrace a student-centered approach, recognizing that each learner has unique needs. I adapt my teaching methods to incorporate real-world clinical experiences, emphasizing the importance of hands-on learning in nursing. I am particularly passionate about discussing topics such as compassion fatigue, helping new clinicians understand its implications in acute care settings. My goal is to empower students to translate theoretical knowledge into practical skills while fostering resilience in their nursing careers.
