My name is Nigara, and I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in accounting from the University of Toronto, Scarborough. With over 5 years of tutoring experience, I am passionate about teaching financial accounting, managerial accounting, and CPA-related subjects, particularly tax, an area where I have extensive professional expertise. My teaching philosophy emphasizes simplifying complex concepts and creating a supportive learning environment, which has been instrumental in helping university students navigate challenging material. As a licensed CPA and a tax manager at George Weston Ltd., I integrate academic knowledge with real-world applications, empowering my students to achieve their academic goals and develop a genuine appreciation for accounting. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy weight training, dancing, traveling, and spending time with my cat. These activities help me stay active, curious, and relaxed which I believe is important for both learning and teaching.
