Certified Tutor

I am a recent university graduate with a Bachelors degree in Communications. I come from a long line of teachers, and have spent time tutoring younger children, specifically in reading and English, as those are my strongest subjects. As someone who has always loved learning, I work as hard as I can to instill that love in other people as well. I always start with gaining my student's trust, figuring out how they operate and how they learn best. Are they a visual learner? Would learning through hands on activities be better? Once I know that, I am able to tweak how I present my lessons to suit their style of learning. By making seemingly boring lessons more exciting and engaging, I allow for the student to become more invested in the information they are learning. This helps them retain and understand the information fully.
