My name is Vickie Bourassa, and I hold a Bachelor's degree in Government from Ohio University. With over 32 years of experience in mortgage banking, I managed the Quality Control Department of a federally regulated financial institution, ensuring compliance with investor guidelines and federal regulations. My passion for education is evident in my previous role, where I prepared training materials and conducted sessions that consistently received high marks for staff development. I specialize in the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and have actively contributed to the Mortgage Bankers Association, presenting at national conferences and chairing committees. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive learning environment where I empower students to grasp complex regulatory concepts through engaging discussions and practical applications. I am motivated by a lifelong commitment to learning and helping others succeed in navigating the intricacies of mortgage compliance.

I love to travel, particularly in Europe, and enjoy studying the languages of the countries I have visited. I have several rescued pets and always have a open door for animals in need. I am never without a book in progress and especially enjoy historical fiction and non-fiction.
