Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Guelph, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Journalism. I'm currently working on a Master's degree in Digital Innovation in Journalism. I have years of experience in teaching English communication, essay writing, and research methods. My teaching journey began with swim instructing, evolved into first-aid training and eventually led to tutoring high school and university students. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I'm particularly passionate about English and communication skills. I believe in teaching tangible skills that impact broad swaths of students' lives and open doors to new opportunities.

I believe that education is not just about delivering information; it's about understanding each student's unique learning style and fostering a supportive environment for growth. My approach combines empathy with tailored strategies to engage students and enhance their real-life English skills. I am particularly passionate about public speaking, as I see it as an essential skill for effective communication. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy storytelling through writing and music, which enriches my teaching and connects with my students on a personal level. On a sunny afternoon, you'll probably find me reading poetry in a park!
