My name is Tasha Jeffery, and I am a dedicated first-grade teacher with over six years of experience in elementary education, currently teaching at Darlington County School District in Hartsville, South Carolina. I hold a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Grand Canyon University, along with a Bachelor of Science degree from Coker College. My teaching philosophy centers on inspiring curiosity and critical thinking in young learners, employing hands-on experiences and real-world applications to make learning relevant. I have a strong passion for teaching reading and writing, particularly phonics, as I believe that comprehension is key to fostering a lifelong love of learning. With several years of tutoring experience in after-school programs and the Boys and Girls Club, I am committed to tailoring my lessons to meet each student's unique needs, ensuring they develop the skills necessary for academic success.
