I am a recent graduate from the University of Toronto Scarborough, with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Mental Health and am working toward a Masters in Physiotherapy (MScPT/MPT).

My passion for helping students stems from the satisfaction of seeing their faces light up when they grasp the subject material presented to them and can use it to solve other problems or teach their peers. I have worked with students (Kindergarten to Grade 8) through remote tutoring and Summer Camp counseling, teaching Math, English, Arts, and Sports and I encourage "loud mistakes" as this helps me track my students' progress. I focus on knowledge gaps/weak spots by tweaking my teaching approach to help students better understand concepts.

I ensure that students stay engaged by checking in on each of them, to make sure they're following the subject matter and can apply what they learn with me when working on their assignments with their peers or by themselves and I enjoy tutoring math the most!

My teaching philosophy is to ensure everyone can grasp what is being taught and can teach it back to me in the manner they understand the material as we all have different learning styles. This includes engaging with these different learning styles, so that students can problem-solve in different ways: auditory, kinesthetic and visual.

Outside of academia, I actively serve in my church as a worship leader and young adult group leader. I also enjoy singing and songwriting, learning languages (Spanish & French), teaching English and engaging in physical activity through sports or fitness.
