Certified Tutor
I have spent the better part of the past decade working with children and teenagers in a variety of settings, and I've found that tutoring is one of the most rewarding ways to make a meaningful impact. I currently tutor elementary, middle, and high school students in math and English, including preparation for standardized tests like the SHSAT, SAT, state exams, and TerraNova assessments. I especially enjoy teaching math because there's nothing quite like seeing a student's face light up when a concept finally clicks.
My interest in working with students began at home. My younger sister is nine years younger than me, and helping her with everything from schoolwork to daily routines sparked my interest in education. That experience led me to begin babysitting and tutoring other children in my neighborhood.
I'm currently pursuing my undergraduate degree at Cornell University in Public Policy, where I've further developed skills in communication, writing, and analysis.
Outside of academics, I enjoy coaching and playing ultimate frisbee, spending time outdoors, and exploring new places. I bring the same enthusiasm and energy from those activities into my tutoring sessions, creating a space where students feel motivated and supported.
