I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I'm Mustafa - a pre-med student who shaved a year off college after the IB program taught me that hard work is only half the story; smart strategy is the other half. That lesson carried me from a 1500 SAT to tutoring friends in everything from limits to titration labs, and it still guides the way I teach.

Most students come to me feeling stuck on a single topic. We start there, but we rarely stay there. I'll ask what clicks for you (flash cards? diagrams? talking it out?) and build each session around that. Last semester one classmate went from guessing chair diagrams in organic chemistry to walking our study group through them three weeks later; moments like that remind me why I love tutoring.

I cover math, chemistry, physics, and test prep, but the real goal is confidence: the calm that lets you solve a free-response question without second-guessing every step. Between sessions, I'm in the lab or on the soccer field- always exploring new ways to learn quicker and stay curious.

As a future medical student, I spend a lot of time diving into chemistry, biology, and test prep strategies, but I also believe balance is key. I enjoy soccer, video games, sketching, and studying languages (Arabic, Spanish, a little Japanese) to stay mentally flexible and engaged.
