I am currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering at Rutgers University New Brunswick. Since high school I have developed a strong foundation for mathematics and appreciation for its role in solving various real-world problems and to the way we think. Many students may ask about how mathematics could relate to real world. In fact, it is more about the process and step by step learning that is most important when learning mathematics.
I enjoy when peers are able to grasp onto difficult concepts and topics. I have experience in tutoring peers in the fields of algebra, geometry, and calculus. I take a more step by step process when helping others learn to make sure students can grasp onto the foundation and build upon those ideas.
My favorite subjects to teach would be algebra and calculus specifically because of the range of topics and connections they have to mathematics as a whole. I am clear and patient as I try to meet the students' needs to understand various concepts. In an online setting, I like to use virtual whiteboards/sharing screens and giving practice problems that will be effective. Outside of academics, I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, as well as playing sports. I look to bring a problem-solving mindset to students while keeping a strong sense of engagement.
