I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's in Music and Technology. My main focuses are music production, sound recording, guitar, music theory, and the intersection of creative art and technical work. Since taking my very first guitar lessons in the form of a high school elective as a freshman, I have been teaching guitar through a variety of lenses such as theory, physical techniques, proper handling of the instrument, and more.

I love to commit myself to education through teaching and inspiring others as well as constantly learning new things myself! I am a firm believer that we are all life-long students, and I strive to help others engage in their passions and reach for whatever goals they may have.

As a teacher, I pride myself on not only my patience but my diligence in curating lessons for students' individual needs; as someone that has at times struggled with certain subjects in school, I myself am familiar with the importance of understanding and being able to approach a subject from different angles to help students ultimately visualize a concept or properly execute a difficult technique. As like-minded as we all are in our pursuit of knowledge and happiness, everybody's mind works in a slightly different way, and I know how some ideas that come easily to one student might not come so easily to another, and vice versa.

I enjoy consuming stories in any format (comics, novels, movies), playing video games, making/practicing/playing music, and all kinds of sports. At the moment, the sports I most enjoy are rock climbing, basketball, pickleball, skiing, snowboarding, and wakeboarding. At times I also like to engage in slightly more tranquil activities such as working on puzzles, crocheting, and napping.
