Certified Tutor

There's nothing more satisfying than helping a student go from "I don't get it" to "Wait I've got this!" That moment of clarity is what I chase every time I tutor. I've always loved science and math, but what I enjoy even more is making those subjects feel less intimidating and more engaging for someone else.

I currently study science at the University of British Columbia, where I've built a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, and math, with focus in Life Sciences. I currently tutor high school and AP Biology, Chemistry, and Math, including Calculus. These subjects are challenging for many students, but they're also deeply rewarding once the core concepts start making sense. Biology is a favorite of mine because it's where logic meets life. Genetics, physiology, blood typing, they all tell a story, and I love helping students connect those dots. I also enjoy tutoring calculus because it's like solving puzzles, and once the pieces start to click, the subject becomes a lot less scary and way more satisfying.

Over the years, I've tutored students informally in my neighborhood, trained IELTS learners in strategy-based reading and listening, and worked as a university notetaker , a role that taught me how to communicate ideas clearly and organize information in a way that's easy to follow. I've also volunteered with Canadian Blood Services, where real-time problem-solving and empathy were key , both of which I bring to my tutoring style.

My approach is all about adaptability. I tailor every session to the learner, whether that means using analogies, visuals, step-by-step breakdowns, or just building confidence through practice. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all teaching. Every student has their own pace, strengths, and style, and my job is to meet them where they are.

Outside of academics, I love traveling and singing. Both allow me to connect with people, explore new perspectives, and bring creative energy into everything I do, including tutoring.
