Oluwabukola: Lisle tutor
Certified Tutor
My name is Oluwabukola Folarin, and I bring over a year of experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to kindergarten, elementary, and special needs children. I began my professional journey as a customer support staff member before transitioning to speech therapy, which deepened my understanding of individualized learning and communication. I hold a TEFL certification, a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, and a Professional Master's degree in Public and International Affairs.
I specialize in teaching elementary English, biology, and elementary science. My teaching approach is student-centered, practical, and supportive, designed to meet each learner's unique needs. I believe that learning becomes most meaningful when students are actively engaged in real-life applications and feel encouraged in a positive environment.
What makes my teaching style effective is my commitment to personalized learning. I break down complex concepts into simple, understandable steps and use creative, engaging methods to make lessons enjoyable and memorable. My goal is to help students build confidence and foster a lifelong passion for learning.
I work best with kindergarten and elementary students, including those in special education, tailoring lessons to suit their developmental levels and individual goals. Students choose me because of my patience, personalized attention, and my role as a supportive mentor who genuinely cares about their success.
As an educator, I value respect, empathy, integrity, passion, growth, inclusivity, support, and creativity. I am motivated by the opportunity to make a positive difference in my students' lives, inspire their love for learning, and empower them to grow both academically and personally.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, playing Duolingo, and learning new languages. These activities keep me curious and continuously expanding my own skills, which helps me bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm into the classroom. Exploring languages also deepens my appreciation for different cultures, allowing me to connect more meaningfully with students from diverse backgrounds.
