I am a graduate student in my final semester of the Creative Writing MFA Program at Concordia University, St. Paul. I also earned my Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Minnesota, Mankato. In both programs, I've written detailed editorial feedback for writers of varying genres and skill levels, from beginner to advanced, from science fiction to romance. My short stories have appeared in two print anthologies and several online venues as well. Personally, I'm fascinated by the mechanics and psychology of storytelling and the way stories shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us. More than classroom instruction, I believe the best way to improve your writing is by reading and by practice. That's why I encourage a practical and hands-on approach to learning the art and science of creative writing.
