I graduated from Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Concordia University with a Masters in Educational Leadership. I have taught all subjects in elementary, but my passion is Mathematics. I like helping students remember and follow simple steps to master mathematical skills. I love the boost of confidence they receive once they take ownership of a skill that seemed difficult at one time. I am a retired educator who served my community for 20 years. I was a Math enrichment teacher for grades Pre-K-grade 5, a 1st-grade and 3rd-grade teacher of all subjects, and a Math departmentalized teacher for grades 3, 4, and 5 for over 10 years. I am thrilled to teach young people, encourage a can-do spirit, and have the patience to endure the challenges that we will face together. In my spare time, I read inspirational material, cook, and listen to music.
