I have a Bachelor's of English from Hollins University and tutor for English, writing, and reading for adults, college, and K-12. My favorite topics to tutor in are poetry and Shakespeare because once you understand Shakespeare he's actually really fun and I enjoy how effective poets can use every aspect of a poem to convey meaning.

My experience working with students steams from my time helping my friends and family with essays starting in college and continuing on as we moved to writing original work. Because of this, my teaching philosophy is focusing on the person in front of me, working with them to understand where they're at in the learning journey, and helping students to understand the material beyond just the next test. I'm passionate about helping students because I've seen the anxiety poor grades cause and I want show people that there can be joy in English studies.

Outside of academia, I enjoy comics, writing my own poetry, and Dungeons and Dragons.
