Education, to me, has always been about more than absorbing informationit's about transformation. It's the moment a student's confusion turns into clarity, and curiosity becomes confidence. That transformation is what inspires me to help students find their voice and their strength in learning.
My academic journey has taken me across borders and disciplines. I studied Medical Laboratory Science at a Canadian university after completing a diploma and part of a bachelor's degree in Jordan. This foundation has given me both depth and adaptability in the sciences. Now, as I prepare to pursue a master's in Biomedical Surface Science, I continue to deepen my understanding of how biology, chemistry, and materials interact in powerful and innovative ways.
Throughout this journey, I've had the opportunity to work with students from many different backgrounds. One of the most rewarding experiences has been supporting immigrant children as they adjusted to new educational systems. Helping them through language barriers and academic challenges showed me the power of compassion, patience, and cultural awareness in education.
I tutor a wide range of subjects, from biology and microbiology to math and languages such as Arabic and English. Among these, biology and microbiology stand out as personal favorites. There's a kind of magic in explaining how the smallest parts of life functionand watching students light up when they finally "get it."
My tutoring approach is calm, personalized, and rooted in encouragement. I believe in meeting students where they are, learning how they learn best, and tailoring lessons to help them grow not just academically, but in self-confidence and critical thinking.
Outside the classroom, I find joy in volunteering, learning new languages, and spending time in nature. These experiences feed my sense of curiosity and connectionqualities that I aim to pass on to the students I teach.
