My name is Ravi Parikh, and I am a rising freshman at Dartmouth College, pursuing a double-major in Spanish and Economics. I attended the Westminster Schools in Atlanta, Georgia where I studied the highest level of coursework across all subjects.
I am especially skilled at language education. Prior to attending Westminster, I matriculated at the Atlanta International School where I achieved native fluency in Spanish. Upon arriving to Westminster, I studied Chinese for six years, and I am able to tutor reading, writing, and speaking in both of those languages.
Humanities represent the umbrella of study that I demonstrate the most proficiency. Beyond languages, I am adept in United States and European history. I have achieved the maximum AP scores on both English exams, and I can strengthen English analytical or creative writing.
Due to Westminster's rigorous academic nature, I have achieved comprehensive achievements in Calculus, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. I look forward to teaching your student the value of methodically approaching studies within Science and Mathematics.
I would be remiss if I did not address the fact that my own personal academic journey was not a straight line. I, like every other student, encountered my own personal academic roadblocks and developed unique study strategies that I hope to impart on other students. I sincerely believe that academic expertise is best attained when students prioritize understanding over memorization.
I am a nationally ranked policy debater, and I intend to continue this activity on Dartmouth's nationally competitive debate team! As a varsity tri-athelete and college research assistant, I stay busy all the time exploring interests within and outside of academics.
I am a huge foodie and Hans Zimmer enthusiast, and I am always happy to take some time after the session to provide some good food recommendations!
