Roshana: Thornton tutor
Certified Tutor
As a dedicated medical student of Lincoln American University in Guyana, I have completed the basic science program in medicine. Residing now in America, I am preparing to take the USMLE Step 1 in 2025. However, my journey in medicine has been enriched by my active participation in various medical outreach programs with the Guyana Cancer Foundation, where I gained valuable experience in listening to and addressing the needs of the community. This commitment to service drives my passion for teaching, as I believe that education is a powerful tool for empowerment.
In addition, throughout my medical education, I have honed my communication skills through numerous presentations, debates, and role plays, which have equipped me to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences. Additionally, my studies in theology at Life Christian University have further developed my ability to connect with individuals of all ages through counseling and ministering. This unique blend of medical knowledge and pastoral care allows me to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for my students.
Finally, I am enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge and experiences with others, fostering an atmosphere of growth and understanding. My goal as a tutor is to inspire and empower my students to reach their full potential, just as I have been inspired by those I have encountered along my journey. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to your academic success and help you navigate the challenges of your educational path.
