One of my core beliefs in teaching is that everyone has potential for greatness if only given the right resources. I've seen this many times as I've worked with all sorts of people from various backgrounds. I've taught piano for the past 5 years to students of all ages. In that time, I also spent 18 months in Romania, part of my time teaching ESL. Since coming back to the USA, I have continued teaching piano as well as private tutoring in basic middle level school subjects: language arts, math, science, and history. These various opportunities have helped me develop as a teacher. I view my role as that of a guide, and the majority of the work and effort belongs to the student. I seek to help my students set goals and make plans for what they want to achieve and take ownership of their own learning.

I am currently enrolled in North Carolina State University as a Music major. I have studied different languages including Spanish and Romanian. My academic strengths lie in language arts and basic maths. I can also teach piano and basic music theory.

My interests include: piano, singing, sports, gardening, theatre, and trying new things.
