I am passionate about helping students because I love seeing the growth they make as they learn. Watching a student gain confidence and master a new skill is one of the most rewarding parts of working in education. Every small step they take toward success inspires me to continue guiding and supporting them.

I have worked in education for 21 years, teaching students from Kindergarten all the way up to 6th grade. I am currently a 6th-grade teacher, and throughout my career, I have enjoyed working with a wide range of ages and learning styles.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and a Master's degree in Literacy and Reading Instruction from Walden University. In addition to my degrees, I have also completed additional coursework in literacy to strengthen my skills and better support my students.

I tutor all subjects for Kindergarten through 5th grade, and specialize in tutoring English Language Arts (ELA) for 6th grade. My favorite subjects to tutor are reading and writing. I love helping students develop a true love for reading and showing them that writing doesn't have to be daunting it can be a creative and empowering way to express themselves.

My teaching philosophy is based on strong modeling and scaffolding. I follow a gradual release model: "I do," "We do," and "You do," always providing guidance and support at each stage. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and encouraged to take risks in a positive, structured environment.
