Literacy is the foundation of all learning, and my mission has always been to empower learners by building strong, confident readers. Throughout my career, I have developed and implemented research-based instructional strategies, differentiated my teaching to meet individual needs, and fostered inclusive classroom environments that celebrate every student's progress. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy baking, reading children’s literature, engaging in teacher social media communities, and crafting with my children. These activities help inspire new ideas for engaging my students. I also love caring for my pets and volunteering at community and school events. Occasionally, I travel to decompress and help manage the emotional demands of teaching. Over the years, I’ve developed a passion for mentoring and guiding new educators. Sharing classroom strategies, offering emotional support, or helping navigate challenges has helped build lifelong relationships.
