Math can be trickybut it doesn't have to feel that way! With over 25 years of classroom experience in grades K7 and a strong background in child development (BA) and curriculum and instruction (MA), I bring a thoughtful and encouraging approach to helping students build confidence and understanding in math.
I specialize in tutoring students in grades K8 and have supported learners across a wide range of needs, including general education, learning disabilities, neurodivergent thinking, and highly capable/gifted students. My work has included individual instruction, small group support, whole-class teaching, and coaching educators in implementing Common Core math strategies.
My passion lies in helping students feel successful and empowered in their learning. I love breaking down math concepts into manageable, meaningful parts and watching students light up when things begin to "click." I tailor each session to meet students where they arefocusing on current classroom content, filling in foundational gaps, and previewing what's coming next to give them a confident head start.
My teaching style is warm, clear, and supportive. I believe that learning should feel like progress, not pressure. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and keeping up with my two high schoolers and our two pets.
Whether your student needs a little extra help or a bigger boost, I'm here to support their journey toward math success!
