Certified Tutor

I am passionate about tutoring because I love helping others reach "aha" moments. Whether it's guiding a child through their first piano piece or explaining dynamic Earth processes, I feel incredibly rewarded when I am able to help others grasp a concept. I started tutoring during the pandemic, working with elementary school students in math and piano, and in college, I was a teaching assistant in structural geology.

I tutor Geology, Piano, Elementary-level Chinese, Writing/Grammar, and Math, with a special love for Geology and Chinese. I have experience tutoring children as young as 7, and young adults in their 20s, so I am happy to cater my tutoring style to you. My teaching philosophy focuses on hands-on learning. I use demonstrations, relatable examples, and analogies to demystify complicated ideas. Mnemonic devices are my best friend!
