I have been an educator for ten years, and I am truly passionate about supporting students reach their academic goals.
I am a strong believer that patience is key to learning alongside frequent student interaction. The strongest instruction I have witnessed centered around the student and their ability to navigate their own learning. I enjoy building up to higher-level thinking through inquiry-based learning and allowing the student to create their own ideas about the subjects we are learning.
My background is strongly based in Science, specifically Biology and IPC which I have taught for 6 years. I have a BS in Biology with a concentration in Chemistry, so my personal interests lie with those.
I am also a native a native Spanish speaker. I recently switched to teaching Spanish and have found it to be a welcome change to try something new!
Outside of academia, I enjoy exercise (particularly strength training, running, and yoga), video games, and scary movies!

I enjoy exercising, primarily strength training, yoga, and running. I try to do at least one of those every day! I also enjoy playing video games. My current obsession is Baldur's Gate 3, though I also enjoy playing on my Switch. I also love scary movies. We host a scary movie night once a month, and it's the highlight of my month!
