Certified Tutor
With over seven years of hands-on experience as an Environmental Engineer and a strong academic foundation in environmental and chemical engineering, I bring both subject matter expertise and a passion for knowledge-sharing to the role of Earth Science tutor. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively on projects related to air and water pollution control, greenhouse gas emissions, GIS mapping, and environmental assessments, all of which are rooted deeply in core Earth Science principles.
My work has demanded a high level of technical precision, critical thinking, and the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts in a clear and practical manner and skills I believe are essential in a tutoring role. From conducting air dispersion modeling and carbon capture research to managing waste treatment projects and sustainability programs, my experience allows me to explain real-world applications of Earth Science topics in engaging and relatable ways.
In addition to my engineering background, I hold a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Calgary and a specialization in GIS from the University of Toronto, enhancing my ability to teach subjects such as geology, hydrology, climate science, and human-environment interactions. I have also supervised technical teams, mentored junior staff, and collaborated with cross-disciplinary professionals, which has further developed my ability to teach and support learners with diverse needs and learning styles.
As a tutor, my goal is to foster curiosity, build confidence, and help students see the relevance of Earth Science in solving global environmental challenges. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to inspire the next generation of scientists and environmental stewards.
