I am a graduate of Old Dominion University with a Bachelors in Business Management. I have over 25 years experience in Information Technology, including IT technician work, IT certification training, overseeing IT technicians in various roles, Server Administration along with managing an Enterprise Help Desk. I was the Microsoft Datacenter Academy Program Manager for a local community college, where I helped instruct High School students in topics focusing on IT and CompTIA certification prep. I am currently working part-time with CompTIA providing online certification training and prep. I use tools such as real-world examples, Kahoot games, mnemonics, repetition, and other fun ways to remember some of the topics we go over.
I have a wealth of real world experience including working in a military environment, healthcare and educational settings. I have my CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+), CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+), CompTIA A+ (Hardware/Software) and CompTIA Security+. I also obtained the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Master certification. While my passion is helping students in CompTIA certification prep, I am confident in helping you in many areas of basic computer skills, security, studying/organization skills, test prep and basic business topics. I'd love to help you be successful in your schooling and prepare for higher education and careers!
