Hello!
My name is Mikal (Michael), and I'm excited to help you with reading, writing, and math! I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and a Master's in Business Administration. While my background is in music, I've always loved teaching and enjoy working with students across a variety of subjects.

I have about nine years of after-school teaching experience, primarily focused on music instruction, but also tutoring students in academics. I love helping students connect their passionslike musicwith their schoolwork to make learning more meaningful.

When I was younger, reading and writing didn't come easily to me, so I understand how frustrating those subjects can be. What helped me improve was having an engaging teacher and finding fun books to read. That experience shaped how I approach tutoringI believe learning should be supportive and enjoyable.

Math has always been a subject I've enjoyed, especially because of the patterns it shares with music. I like helping students find the methods and patterns that work best for them.
