I am deeply passionate about helping students because I believe in the transformative power of education. My journey as an educator has shown me that by nurturing students' interests and skills, we can cultivate critical thinkers, leaders, and stewards of our environment.
My experience working with students spans several years and diverse settings. As an Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor at El Campo ISD and previously at Katy ISD, I've had the privilege of teaching various agriculture courses, including Floral Design and Advanced Animal Science and Plant and Soil Science. I've supervised students in livestock projects, particularly swine projects, at numerous prestigious events. This hands-on approach has allowed me to witness firsthand the growth and development of my students as they apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios.
Moreover, my background as a Special Education Teacher and Department Head at Needville ISD has equipped me with unique skills in adapting curriculum and employing various instructional techniques to meet diverse learning needs. This experience has reinforced my belief in the importance of inclusive and personalized education.
I received my education from Sam Houston State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with minors in Education and Agricultural Business. This comprehensive educational background has provided me with a solid foundation in both the scientific aspects of agriculture and the pedagogical skills necessary for effective teaching.
As a tutor, I specialize in a variety of subjects, with a particular focus on reading and science. My favorite subjects to tutor are those that involve hands-on learning and practical application of knowledge. I find immense satisfaction in helping students connect theoretical concepts to real-world practices.
My teaching philosophy and tutoring style are rooted in experiential learning and student-centered approaches. I believe in creating an engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. By coaching Leadership and Career Development Event teams and managing FFA officer teams, I've seen how empowering students to take on leadership roles can dramatically boost their confidence and skills.
Outside of academia, I have a passion for photography. As the owner of Briton Wilde Photography, I've honed my creative skills and business acumen. This experience not only provides me with a creative outlet but also enhances my ability to teach students about entrepreneurship and visual communication in agriculture.
In conclusion, my diverse experiences as an educator, my strong educational background, and my continued involvement in education, agriculture and photography make me a well-rounded tutor who can offer students not just academic knowledge, but also real-world insights and practical skills. I am committed to inspiring the next generation of agricultural leaders and innovators through personalized, engaging, and hands-on educational experiences.

Beyond my professional life as an agriculture educator, I am passionate about a variety of interests and hobbies that both complement and diversify my experiences. Photography stands at the forefront of my personal interests. As the owner of Briton Wilde Photography, I've turned this hobby into a successful side business. This creative pursuit allows me to capture the beauty of the world around me, particularly in rural and agricultural settings. Through my lens, I strive to tell visual stories that highlight the importance of agriculture in our daily lives. My love for agriculture extends beyond the classroom and into my personal life. My husband and I travel the state of Texas with my daughter and our two sons showing swine projects and helping other students. This passion is evident in my involvement with various livestock shows and fairs, where I not only supervise students but also stay updated on the latest trends and practices in animal husbandry. As an advocate for education, I have a natural curiosity and love for learning. I frequently attend workshops, seminars, and conferences related to agriculture, education, and photography to stay current in these fields and to bring fresh ideas to my students and clients. These varied interests and hobbies not only provide me with personal fulfillment but also enrich my teaching experience, allowing me to bring a wealth of real-world knowledge and diverse perspectives to my students and colleagues.
