Hi! My name is Jessie Ma, and I've been tutoring for over six years across a wide range of settingsfrom private one-on-one sessions to classroom groups of up to 15 students. I've worked with students on everything from SAT prep to AP STEM and English courses, and I love being able to support them as both a tutor and a mentor.

Mentorship is truly at the heart of why I do this. I've been lucky to have incredible mentors in my own life, and now I find so much joy in being that guiding presence for othersbuilding strong relationships and watching students grow and gain confidence in their abilities.

I earned my undergraduate degree with highest honors and distinction from UNC, and I'm currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at Harvard University. My teaching style is deeply student-centered: I take a detail-oriented approach, tailoring each session to fit the student's unique learning style while staying focused on clear, productive goals. I'm compassionate and supportive, but I also believe in making sure every session has purpose and momentum.
