Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Cedarville University with a degree in Middle Childhood Education (4th-9th grade), Math and English, and a minor in Theology. I am also one month away from graduating with a Masters in Elementary Education (K-6th grade) through Memphis Teacher Residency. My 7 year old dreams are being lived out, as I am currently teaching 5th grade ELA in Memphis! I have tutored a variety of subjects and grade-bands since 7th grade (peer tutoring, serving as a tutor/tutoring program coordinator for refugee families in Ohio, and private tutoring), however I specialize in teaching math or ELA for upper elementary/lower middle school students. My current students are projected to reach record levels for passing the TN standardized test (3% higher than previous years & instructors). I am a firm believer that every child deserves a top-tier education, regardless of their race or socioeconomic status, and that the most learning takes place in an environment where an individual feels cared for and known. In light of this, my lessons will always start off with an icebreaker question or a brief conversation. I would be so honored to work with you!
