I'm passionate about helping students feel confident and capable in their learningespecially those who haven't always seen themselves as "science people" or "good at school."
As someone who received special education services (IEP) growing up, I understand firsthand the impact that strong, supportive teaching can have on a student's confidence and long-term success.
Today, I strive to provide that same equity of opportunity to my students, whether I'm supporting a struggling reader or deepening a curious mind's love for biology.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology with minors in Neuroscience and Religious Studies, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Education to strengthen my expertise in pedagogy, curriculum design, and inclusive instruction.
I have several years of experience teaching and tutoring students across K12 in a range of settings, including special education classrooms, one-on-one advisory programs, and high-support charter schools.
I specialize in life sciences such as Biology, Ecology, and Earth Science, but I enjoy supporting students in all subjects and grade levels. My teaching philosophy is hands-on, curiosity-driven, and highly personalized.
I design lessons that connect to students' interests and learning styles, while also building the foundational skills they need to succeed independently. I have extensive experience working with students who have IEPs, learning differences, or low confidence in traditional academic settings.
Whether we're breaking down complex vocabulary or building a concept through visual and interactive strategies, I meet students where they are and help them grow.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy creative projects, curriculum development, and finding new ways to turn learning into something students can touch, feel, and explore.
