I am a graduate of the University of Washington College of Architecture and Urban Planning. After graduation, I worked in commercial and residential design in Seattle and Yakima, and then 'retired' to homeschool my children and teach.
I teach and tutor a variety of topics, including math, creative writing, design, drafting, drawing and art history, and marine biology.
I wish to instill a love of learning into students I help. The world is full of wonder and facts, but curiosity is the key to success. I love those "lightbulb" moments that spark interest in a deeper dive and greater understanding.

In my spare time, I kayak, beachcomb, study marine biology and watch orcas, draw, play music, and I'm learning watercolor painting. I'm also on a trivia team in the winter, and spend time reviewing odd facts.
