Certified Tutor

I am passionate about teaching students to read as well as improve their reading. I earned my Bachelors Degree at USF in Elementary Education and my Master's from NLU. I hold a teaching certificate in the State of Florida, which allows me to teach elementary ;grades 1-6, media specialist grades PK- 12. In additional I hold a Reading Endorsement in the state of Florida. Teaching in Polk County Florida schools for 30 years was some of the most satisfying years. I started as a Classroom Teacher where I taught 3rd grade for 15 years. The remainder of my career I was a School-based Reading Coach.
Upon retirement I realized I missed working with children, especially teaching students the components of learning to read, understanding vocabulary and reading to comprehend. So now I tutor and I am still loving what i do!
