I am currently a junior at the College of William & Mary and am a double major in Biology and Environmental Science. I received my high school education at Chaminade High School on Long Island, where I took 8 AP courses. I have worked with other students to help them in a variety of subjects throughout my middle, high school, and college careers. I have worked to help my peers in a variety of classes that I have taken in the past, especially in math and science. In addition, as an older brother, I was always working with my brother to help him in classes that I had previously taken and had a lot of expertise on. Finally, I currently serve as a teaching assistant in Molecular Cell Biology, where I will help to grade work and tutor students in the class, including holding weekly office hours. I have experience in a broad range of subjects in the sciences, and am able to work with middle and high school science courses. I specifically have a lot of expertise in biology, ecology, environmental science, and chemistry, which are the subjects I am most passionate about as well as I want to work in these subjects in my career. I also have experience in algebra at the middle and high school level, which helped me have a lot of success on the SAT in high school. Finally, I have taken French for 8 years at the middle, high school, and college levels, and am capable of teaching these subjects at the middle school and lower high school levels. As I work to help others improve in academics, I often have success identifying a problem with the student and working backwards from it, being able to then help the student understand how a solution is found. As the son of a teacher, I am a firm believer in how education can mold a student into the person they want to become, and I have always wanted to help others find success in this way.
