I am a graduate of the University of Louisville, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology and Neuroscience, with a minor in Exercise Science. I am currently pursuing my Medical Degree at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, hoping to go into pediatrics. Throughout my academic journey, I have been deeply involved in education, serving as a tutoring site supervisor, mentoring children through community programs, and leading peer review sessions in medical school.
While I have tutored a broad range of subjects, including biology, chemistry, physics, math, and writing, I am most passionate about science and biology. I also love understanding the mechanisms of human physiology and its real-world applications in medicine and human health.
I believe that education is a transformative force, as I've seen this which my own mentors and teachers across my schooling. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ways of thinking. In my experience helping students build confidence in these subjects, I have found that breaking down concepts manageable pieces and making connections to everyday life and students' individual experiences and interests not only enhances understanding but also makes learning more enjoyable.
Outside of academics, I have a strong passion for the arts, music, and fitness. I enjoy painting, drawing, songwriting, and weightlifting, all of which bring creativity, discipline, and energy into my teaching approach.
