As an educator with a Master's degree in Data Science from the University at Buffalo, I have a strong foundation in mathematics and computer science, which I passionately share with my students. I currently teach middle school math in New York City, where I have cultivated over 2 years of experience in tailoring lessons to meet diverse learning needs. My teaching philosophy centers on making math relatable by connecting concepts to real-world applications, fostering critical thinking and creativity. I find immense joy in witnessing students experience their "aha" moments, particularly when they grasp complex topics like probability or algebra. Additionally, my background in programming languages such as Python and SQL enriches my teaching, allowing me to integrate technology into the learning process. Outside of academia, I enjoy learning Spanish and exploring personal finance, which I believe could also benefit my students. Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about exploring life beyond the classroom. I love playing soccer and basketball, traveling to new places, trying my hand at photography, and staying active with workouts. Cooking and discovering new restaurants are also favorite pastimes of mine—they’re great ways to connect with people and cultures. All of these experiences bring fresh energy and creativity to my teaching, helping me connect with my students in meaningful ways.
