Certified Tutor

I recently graduated with honors from the University of Virginia with a degree in English and computer science. I have a lot of experience in all types of writing (technical, academic, creative) and reading. I was a tutor for four years prior to going to college, where I tutored mostly high school and middle school math (specifically pre-algebra, Algebra I, and geometry), as well as reading comprehension for elementary school students. Given my background, my favorite subject to tutor is English, specifically in essay writing (all kinds) and English comprehension. I love the English language, and with my help, I hope you will too! I pride myself on making my lessons engaging and helpful. Outside of tutoring, I have a job in proofreading and spend my spare time writing fiction, crocheting, playing piano, running, and petting my cat.
