Terence: Springfield tutor
Certified Tutor
I received my undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisville and my PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of Kentucky. Between those two educational experiences, I spent four years on active duty in the Marine Corps. I like to travel both, domestically and internationally. I have traveled to eight countries in Europe and four countries in Asia. I also speak and read just a bit of German. I have an intense interest in history, particularly twentieth-century United States history. I enjoy dancing, including ballroom, swing, and country. While my formal training is in structural engineering, I tutor a broad range of other STEM subjects, including physics, algebra, and calculus. I most enjoy teaching computer coding classes using the C, Java, and Python programming languages. Much I know about computer languages and coding is self-taught. When I teach/tutor I strive to involve the students interactively, having them answer questions I pose, and have them explain the reasoning behind their answers.
