I am a graduate of Boston University (Wheelock College of Education) where I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a focus on Human Development. My post-graduate education was spent at The Johns Hopkins University where I received my Master's degree in Education with a focus on Math and Science. Since graduation, I have been working as an educator for the families of Baltimore County Public Schools in Baltimore, Maryland.
Now in my 30th year of education, I have taught Fifth grade for half of my career and the other half is currently being spent as a Math Resource Teacher. In this role I work with elementary grade students mostly in third, fourth, and fifth grade. As a resource teacher I coach teachers, provide intervention for students, and teach grade level classes. My passion lies with teaching math. I was a student who struggled learning math and I feel that teachers need to break it down just a bit more for students like me.
