I am a graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and a Master of Arts in Education that awarded me a teaching license for grades 4-9 in Math and Social Studies (Ohio). Since graduation, I have tutored grades 6-8 Math and taught grades 5-8 Mathematics at a small charter school. I am most passionate about Math, Economics, and History. In my experience helping students fall in love with Math, I have found it best to draw a picture, create a table, or annotate the word problem as a strategy to help with solving.
