As a dedicated educator and US Navy veteran, I have over twenty years of experience in tutoring and classroom instruction, specializing in subjects such as Adult Literacy, Algebra, and AP English Language and Composition. My Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Education and Health Science from Liberty University has enriched my teaching strategies and broadened my approach to student engagement. I am passionate about fostering a supportive learning environment where students can thrive without the pressures often found in traditional classrooms. Currently pursuing my Master's in Education, I am committed to instilling a love of learning in my students. My creative interests in fiction writing and music allow me to make lessons more engaging and relatable, enhancing the overall learning experience.

I love all sorts of music and musical theater! I have been married for 21 years and have two adult daughters and two grandchildren. The military took my husband and I all over the country (and the world) but we currently live in Mississippi about an hour away from New Orleans. I love to cook for my family.
