Education is a powerful tool that opens doors and inspires growth, and I am deeply passionate about helping students unlock their potential. Witnessing a student's "aha" momenta spark of understanding or newfound confidencefuels my dedication to tutoring. I believe that every student has unique strengths, and my goal is to help them discover and leverage these abilities to overcome challenges.

I have had the privilege of working with students of various ages and backgrounds, both in formal classroom settings and through one-on-one tutoring sessions. My experience spans 10 years, during which I have honed my ability to tailor my approach to meet each student's individual needs. I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel safe to explore and ask questions.

I have a current teaching certificate in the state of Texas. I hold a degree in Psychology with a minor in History from the University of Texas at Dallas. I also attended Dallas Theological Seminary and completed a graduate certificate program. Currently, I am pursuing continuing education through audited courses - including a course developed by NASA - to further enhance my knowledge and skills in education. This commitment to continuous learning reflects my belief in the importance of growthboth for myself and for my students.

I specialize in tutoring subjects such as Writing, Math, Science, and History, with a particular passion for Reading. I love this subject and I find joy in sharing that enthusiasm with my students. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a growth mindset, encouraging students to view challenges as opportunities to learn rather than obstacles. I employ a variety of techniquesvisual aids, interactive activities, and real-world applicationsto make learning relevant and enjoyable.

Ultimately, my goal as a tutor is to empower students to take ownership of their learning journey, instilling in them the confidence to tackle any subject.
